Our studio located in Ajax, is Ontario's unique yoga studio where students can find personalized yoga classes, suitable for their needs. Located at the Lakeside community in Ajax-by-the-lake this beautiful space offers a variety of yoga classes such as Hatha Flow, Gentle Hatha, Yin Yoga, Power Yoga, Pre Natal Yoga, Mom and Baby Yoga, Kids yoga and Yoga for runners.

Our Yoga studio offers holistic services to promote the wellbeing of our students. Nutricional holistic consultations are available at the studio by appointment only.

Lakeside Yoga staff are certified and experienced Yoga instructors who are interested in promoting yoga in the community of Ajax and who care for their students and their needs.

Lorena Sanchez, Director

Lorena’s passion for yoga was first inspired in 2003 after being introduced to Bikram while living in New York.

 Since then she has continued practicing Bikram and other styles of Yoga such as Hot Hatha, Power Flow and Vinyasa in various studios and locations, such as Toronto, New York, Philadelphia, California and also in Chile.

 She has continued practicing and teaching through both her pregnancies, enjoying every minute of it and the benefits received by both herself and her sons were immeasurable.

  Lorena is a graduate of the Tula Teacher Training Program where she was tought Hatha and Vinyasa Flow and Hot Hatha yoga by Isabel Lambert, Sara Azham and Grace Dubery . She continues to enrich her education through workshops focusing on Yoga for kids, seniors and beginners, trying to make Yoga practice suitable for everybody. She is a certified Yoga 4 Kids™ and Rainbow Kids Yoga Teacher Training with Gopala Amir Yaffa, where she learned a FUN way to introduce kids, teenagers and the whole family to yoga. Working with Margot McKinnon, she has learned to keep Yoga classes safe, effective and bone-friendly. Lorena is trained by St John Ambulance in Emergency First Aid and CPR (Level B). She teaches Hatha flow, Gentle Hatha, Yin yoga, Pre natal yoga, Mom and Baby and Kids yoga at Lakeside yoga studio.
